Ford's recent announcement that over half of the $2.1 billion in Q2 profits that it earned from vehicle production in North America came from better pricing initiatives. This story brought back great memories of my 2004 interview with Lloyd Hansen, Ford's VP of Revenue Management, for The Art of Pricing. It was a real honor to spend the afternoon in Detroit with someone who truly innovated pricing in the automobile industry.
